LFC Tournament Rules & Regulations

   

In exchange for participation in the activity of the Lake Fork Classic Fishing Tournament I agree with....

I agree to observe and obey all posted rules and warnings, and further agree to follow any oral instructions or directions given by LFC.

I recognize that there are certain inherent risks associated with the above described activity and I assume full responsibility for personal injury to myself, and (if applicable) my family members and friends, and further release and discharge LFC for any injury, loss or damage arising out of my or my family’s and/or friend’s.

I agree to indemnify and defend the LFC against all claims, causes of action, damages, judgments, costs or expenses, including attorney fees and other litigation costs, which may in any way arise from my or my family’s and/or friend’s

Please read all official tournament rules and regulations prior to filling out entry form. The following items will be checked when contestants weigh in. Violation of any rules regarding the following items will be cause for immediate disqualification: • Fishing License   • Boat Registration   • Life Jacket/Throw Cushion

DECISIONS: All decisions of the Tournament Directors are FINAL. All protests must be registered in writing with a Tournament Director within 15 minutes of the designated weigh in.

ELIGIBILITY: All State, Coast Guard, Federal Parks & Wildlife regulations shall apply at all times. This tournament is designed primarily for amateurs; therefore, anyone who has finished 4 or more tournaments within the past 12 months of this tournament with an entry fee over $500, or anyone who has provided guide service for pay within the past 90 days of this official tournament lake, will not be eligible to compete in this tournament. Contestants must have a valid fishing license for tournament lake. Each person in boat must be a paid contestant of official tournament and abide by all tournament rules and regulations. Non-contestants are not allowed in paid contestant’s boat at any time during official tournament hours. Any contestant found to be in violation of any tournament rules and regulations will be subject to disqualification from this tournament and all future tournaments. All bass caught by contestants fishing together will be disqualified if any of the said contestants are found to be in violation of any tournament rules and regulations. Tournament officials have the right to refuse ANY ENTRY.  Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or adult with written parental permission.

REGISTRATION AND ENTRY FEE: Entry form with complete entry fee must be received before tournament sign-up deadline of night before event at 11:59pm. NO REFUND OR SUBSTITUTION OF ENTRY FEES FOR ANY REASON.

SAFETY (THE FOLLOWING IS MANDATORY): Boat operator must show proof of valid registration. US Coast Guard approved life jackets are required for each person in boat. Life jackets must be worn and fastened while main engine is in use. No boat shall have a motor of higher horsepower than the approved Coast Guard maximum.

PERMITTED FISHING AREAS AND HOURS: All bass caught during tournament hours (6AM-3:30PM) may only be weighed in during official tournament weigh in hours (1:00-3:30) on that day. Contestants may leave from any launch site on lake. No casting until 6AM official clock.  

TACKLE AND EQUIPMENT: All bass must be caught on artificial bait by casting. No trolling with big motor. Contestants may use only one rod at any one time. Other rods may be in the boat for substitute purposes.  No electronic tracking devices (implanted microchips) may be used to locate fish for tournament purposes. (Depth finders and graph charts are the only exceptions).

WEIGH IN, SPORTSMANSHIP AND CONSERVATION: Sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation are expected from every participant.  All bass weighed in will become the property of the tournament and will be released back into the lake that day alive if possible. Trailering is permissible. No bass on ice. Bass must be alive to be weighed in.  All bass brought to weigh-in station must be in weigh in bag with water.  Bass must be weighed in by the contestant who originally caught the bass and it must be in said contestant’s physical possession in the weigh-in line. Any artificially weighed or preserved bass will be disqualified and that contestant will be subject to prosecution under state and/or federal laws.  Any questionable entry will be subject to inspection by a marine biologist or similarly qualified expert from the Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept. 

LAKE OH IVIE FISHING REGULATIONS : *** For largemouth bass there is no minimum length limit; however, only two largemouth bass less than 18 inches may be retained each day. For smallmouth bass (if present), minimum length = 14 inches. There is no length limit on Alabama, Guadalupe or spotted bass. Combined daily bag limit for all species of black bass = 5 fish

LAKE O.H. IVIE FISHING REGULATIONS

Official measuring board is the Chek-It-Stick. Only largemouth bass will be weighed in. No participation in other tournaments during course of Lake Fork Classic.  No contestant may have more than three bass in their possession at any time during official tournament hours.  This is a mandatory catch and release program during Official Tournament Hours. When tournament is officially over all bass must be released back into Lake Fork.  Contestants are to be attentive to litter and should make every effort to maintain their trash in their boat and dispose of it properly.

All bass eligible 13+ lbs will be donated to the Sharelunker program

BOAT INSPECTION: All contestants, by entering this Tournament, hereby agree to allow their boats to be boarded and inspected by Tournament officials at any time during said Tournament, to include, but not limited to, their boat registration, Coast Guard horsepower rating plate, and boat contents to include livewell, rod boxes, closed storage compartments, tackle boxes, life jackets, PFD’s and safety equipment.
